Dave O’Neill

1918-2000

Born in Ireland, Dave and Margaret O’Neill moved to Ohakune in 1953, where he drove the school bus until he retired. They then moved to Whanganui, where Dave took up oil painting.

 

These selected works were completed at their pensioner flat in Puriri St between 1982 and 1994.

After Margaret died around 1996 Dave moved to the RSA Retirement Home, Levin, where he continued to paint and draw for the last 4 years of his life.
